| These are pictures of my first attempts at dovetails, and half blind dovetails at that. I am cutting these for the kitchen table my wife requested. These pieces are the kickers and sides of the drawer compartment. Since I am cutting into the sides of the boards for the half-blind the cutting is a bit odd. They are a bit easier to cut than I thought (I used Ian Kirby's book as a reference). However, I've learned that sharp chisels are REALLY important, my marking knife (from Woodcraft) is useless and my dull old Swiss Army Knife is the best marking knife in the world.
